In the Trakošćan park, there is a chapel dedicated to the Holy Cross.

It was built in 1754 in the spirit of Baroque Classicism, with a donation by Suzana Malatinski, wife of Josip Kazimir Drašković. Although the chapel is small, it is equipped with everything necessary for a church:

• a raised choir loft with an organ
• a pulpit
• a pew with an elevated cathedra
• and an altar surmounted by a large crucifix

The chapel’s exterior is simple, with only the façade and bell tower articulated by ‘risalit’ decorations. The interior is divided into an equally long quadrangle of a vaulted nave and a sanctuary that ends in a shallow apse. In the past, the chapel was used to hold services four times a year, whereas today, wedding ceremonies are held in the chapel.
