The Educational Path

NOTICE TO VISITORS:

Due to a landslide that has been activated, a section of the pedestrian path around the lake has been closed for visitor safety. Walking around the lake is still possible; however, we kindly ask you to use the remaining section of the path and follow the posted signage.

The educational path around Trakošćan Lake is called the Fairy Trail. The trail is about five kilometres long and can be explored in two hours at a leisurely pace. It begins at the foot of the castle, at the entrance to the complex. There are 20 educational points on it, as well as a fisherman’s hut, which has been designed as an information point for taking a break during the walk. The educational path provides insight into the natural values of the Trakošćan forest park and the surrounding area.
