On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of one of the most important members of the famous noble family Drašković, a catalogue has been published that presents the life of Juraj II. Drašković in an interesting and clear way. Through seven thematic chapters, the catalogue takes us through his life – from childhood and education, through his career in the church and politics, to his rapid rise and sudden death.

Special emphasis is placed on his oratory and strong character – traits that helped him to advance rapidly in the society of the time. In the context of the political and cultural circumstances of the time, and along with his faithful service to the Habsburg Monarchy, the catalogue reveals how Juraj Drašković played an important role in numerous political and religious events of the 16th century – both in Croatia and in the wider European area.
