The workshop ‘The Silent Language of the Castle’ is designed for children and introduces them, in an engaging and interactive way, to the world of non-verbal communication once practised at courts and among the nobility.

The programme is tailored to the age of the group (preschool, primary, or secondary level), and through play, movement, imagination, and creative activities, participants discover how messages were once conveyed through posture, gestures, facial expressions, clothing, fans, and flowers – all without a single spoken word.

The workshop encourages awareness of one’s own body, the development of emotional intelligence, cultural literacy, and refined communication skills, while also introducing participants to the customs and etiquette of past times. Particular emphasis is placed on active participation, building self-confidence, and learning through experience.

During the workshop, each participant creates their own simple paper fan, decorates it, and takes it home as a personal keepsake and lasting memento of the art of fan language.

The price is €250 for a group of up to 22 people (this includes the workshop and admission to the castle), and €10 is charged for each additional person. The minimum number of workshop participants is 22, and the maximum is 50 people.
